About the Jewish “Right of Return,” The “Third Temple,”

And the Truth About A Mashiach (Messiah)

(Posted 3-24-2015 - Edited 7-20-2015)

This article addresses three related issues:

1) Jewish prophecies regarding the return of Jews to the homeland of their ancient ancestors were interpreted to create the idea of a “right of return” (which then became a concept known as "Zionism");

2) Certain comments in the Hebrew Bible were interpreted to mean that a “third temple” would be built in Jerusalem, and that idea has become dangerously problematic; and

3) Various beliefs in who and what a Mashiach (Messiah) will be and do are conflicting and contradictory.

Therefore, what is needed is a more accurate vision of what prophecies actually foretold -- a vision that sheds more light on prophecies and can expose all the erroneous ideas and false beliefs that have caused so much trouble, conflict, violence, death, and destruction.

The Question of a Jewish “Right of Return”

Several Jewish prophets prophesied or foresaw and foretold that Jews would be scattered around the world (especially following the Diaspora after the Roman victory in the Jewish-Roman War of 66–73 CE), and prophecies foresaw and foretold that the time would come when Jews from all over the world would be enabled to immigrate to the homeland of their ancient ancestors in and around Jerusalem.

Isaiah 43:5-6 — “I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west; I will say to the north: 'Give up,' and to the south: 'Keep not back, bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the end of the earth ...”

Jeremiah 3:18 — “In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.”

Jeremiah 30:3 — “For, lo, the days come, say the Lord, that I will turn the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, says the Lord; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.”

Ezekiel 11:17 — “Thus says the Lord God: I will even gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”

Those prophecies have been fulfilled. As was prophesied in the Hebrew Tanakh (Old Testament), during the lifetime of the modern Messiah, Jews from all over the world have indeed been able to immigrate to the land of their ancient ancestors, in and around Jerusalem.

However, none of those prophecies justified what has been done by Jewish Zionists in Palestine. None of those prophecies indicate exactly how much land would be "the land of Israel." None of those prophecies indicate that a new nation state would be established to be ruled exclusively by and for Jews. And none of those prophecies gave permission for Jews to kill and dislocate native, indigenous Palestinians and take their land and properties.

Now, the fact is that Jewish immigration to Palestine could have been done correctly and properly, and that would have been alright. People should be able to live where they want, if they do it legally according to the laws of the land to which they want to immigrate. And Jews being able to immigrate to Palestine would be fine and good as long as all the Jewish immigrants found houses to rent and/or houses and property to buy. That’s common practice in most countries that allow immigrants.

Granted, Zionists did buy land in Palestine during the early stages of the Zionist movement, beginning in 1906. But. for the most part, that is not what has happened since 1947. For as is explained in the article on The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Zionist Jews confiscated and stole houses, property and land in Palestine.

Even David Ben-Gurion, modern Israel’s first Prime Minister, is quoted as having said:

"Why should the Arabs make peace? If I were an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. ... They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that?" -- David Ben-Gurion

People in the West are generally unaware of what happened at that time, but Zionist Jews actually started a campaign of genocide. The city of Jaffa was ethnically “cleansed” of Palestinians by Jewish Zionist forces in an operation begun in May 1948, the day before Israel declared statehood. Most of the Arab Palestinian population was driven from the city, many were murdered in the streets, and their homes were looted. The remaining few Arabs were forced into officially designated ghettos and the city was repopulated by Zionist Jews who were granted "legal" title to what was formerly Palestinian property.

The historic record shows that Zionist Jewish militia groups started conquering and occupying whole cities, dislocating and even killing many Palestinians. They stole houses, land and property in many areas from indigenous Palestinians, turning them into refugees. They've been doing it ever since, and that’s why there has been sporadic war ever since.

That is why Israel’s iniquity has not yet been pardoned by God, or by God’s principal servant. He has not yet been able to fulfill Isaiah 40:2 which tells him he will be able to: “Speak comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she has received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.

The iniquity of Israel has not yet been pardoned or forgiven because the modern state of Israel still practices war -- unjust, cruel, barbaric war using horribly disproportionate use of deadly force -- and does not seek peace with her neighbors. Instead, since 1948 the Israelis have acted more like fascists than like a "holy people," practicing genocide against the Palestinian people.

Most Israeli leaders have been and are hypocritical, wicked wrongdoers, and Jewish Zionists have perverted Judaism. It is they who were scolded by the prophets who foresaw and foretold their iniquity, because while the prophets promised a great reward for good behavior and loyalty to God, the prophets' writings were full of scolding to rebuke the rebellious and arrogant Jews who spoke of God but actually ignored the moral codes of behavior. And the prophets foresaw Israel's current iniquity.

For example:

Isaiah 1:4 – “Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.”

Isaiah 59:3-4 – “For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness. None call for justice, nor any plead for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.”

Malachi 3: 8-11 – "You fail to share My abundance with the poor and landless, you will not bring the common wealth into the common storehouse. Only if you turn back to My teaching will the locusts vanish from your fields. Only then, if you will share My rain of blessings on your harvests, will I pour those blessings down from Heaven."

All greedy, self-centered, hypocritical, arrogant people, especially those in Israel, shall fear the Mashiach (Messiah) who writes, sings and speaks from the West, fulfilling Isaiah 59:19 which states: “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west.

Those who will fear him are or will be the many Israeli Zionist rabbis and political and military leaders who defiantly insist that they know God and understand prophecy. But they don't. Their beliefs are self-serving, wrong, and detrimental to their neighbors.

When they confess their error and sin, repent, and make amends to those they have so grievously offended, harmed, dislocated, oppressed and persecuted, then the following scripture may be fulfilled and Israel’s iniquity may be pardoned. So let us pray that all the conflict, war, death and destruction stops.

Let us pray that Isaiah 40:2 may be fulfilled and the Messiah may soon be able to speak comfortably to Jerusalem, and say that her warfare is accomplished and her iniquity is pardoned.

Let us hope the good Jewish people in Israel will remove the warmongers and hatemongers from power, and establish good government that will reconcile differences, make amends, and make peace. Then Jerusalem’s and Israel’s iniquity may be pardoned.

(And on that note, let us also hope and pray that the good Muslim people of Palestine will ignore the warmongers and hatemongers among them who wage a False Jihad while claiming they serve Allah. For two wrongs don’t make a right, and even though anyone has a right to defend themselves from attack or persecution, no one has a right to commit offensive, indiscriminate mass murder, an atrocious sin and crime committed by both sides.)

Israeli Peace Activists Know

Just listen to Miko Peled, an Israeli peace activist who knows. He has inside knowledge of the Zionist cause. His grandfather was one of the Jews involved in the original Zionist movement, and his father Matti Peled was a member of one of the Jewish Militias in 1947 when the original atrocities were committed against Palestinians, and was a general during the war of 1967 when Israel conquered the West Bank, Gaza, Golan Heights, and Sinai. Following that war Matti Peled resigned from the Israeli Army and became a peace activist because he was disgusted with the Israeli government’s actions.

Miko was deeply moved by his father's decision. Then in 1997, after his niece was killed by a suicide bomber, rather than seek revenge Miko sought to understand, and he has since become an effective speaker teaching the truth about the history of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and delivering a scathing indictment of Zionism.

Miko has written a book titled The General’s Son: Journey of an Israeli in Palestine. And on May 14, 2014, Miko spoke in Geneva, and here is a video of the speech he delivered:

Miko Peled's Appeal to the World, Which Everyone Should Hear

If more people in the world knew the truth Miko speaks of, the government of Israel would be stopped and prevented from doing any more harm. And it would be easier to correct other problems as well (such as the following).

The Idea that a "Third Temple" Will Be Rebuilt

It is easy to see where Zionist Jews got the idea that a "third temple" will be built on the "temple mount" (where the Muslim al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock are located). They got the idea from the following passages from the Tanakh .

Isaiah 2:2-4 — “And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established as the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many peoples shall go and say: 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths.' For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” (And Micah 4:1-4 says about the same thing.)

Isaiah 56:7 — “Even them will I bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer; their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices shall be acceptable upon Mine altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”

Isaiah 60:7 — “All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto you; they shall come up with acceptance on Mine altar, and I will glorify My glorious house.”

Isaiah 65:25 — “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, says the Lord.

Ezekiel 37: 26-28 – “I will seal a covenant of peace with them [the children of Israel] and it will be an eternal covenant with them; and I will emplace them and increase them, and I will place My Temple among them forever. My dwelling place will be among them; I will be a God to them and they will be a people to Me. Then the nations will know that I am Hashem Who sanctifies Israel when My Temple will be among them forever.”

Zionist Jews as well as fundamentalist Christian Zionists believe that those prophecies refer to a “third temple” that will be built on the temple mount in Jerusalem. And many of them even believe that Ezekiel chapters 40 through 44 refer to what a “third temple” will look like. But that whole idea is a problematic distortion and misinterpretation of prophecies.

Just consider that the text of Isaiah 2:2-4 (the first quoted prophecy) clearly says that “the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established as the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills ...”

Consider that the existing temple mount is actually just a very little hill, and "the mountain of the Lord's house" shall be "exalted above the hills."

Also consider this: How can a mountain be established "as the top of the mountains"? It can’t, at least not literally (and especially since there are no mountains in Jerusalem), because the “mountain of the Lord’s house” is not material or worldly, but metaphorical and/or allegorical.

In Isaiah 56:7, Isaiah speaks of “God’s holy mountain” not as a material place or location, but as a spiritual realm, or spiritual state of being.

Isaiah 30:29 states: “You shall have a song as in the night when a feast is hallowed; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with the pipe to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.”

That speaks of a spiritual state of mind and being. But that is misunderstood by fundamentalist Jews and Christians, and the misunderstanding comes from a misunderstanding of what Zion really is. It is not a material, actual mountain (as is explained in the article Zion vs. Zionism). For Zion is actually the spiritual source an the fount out of which all good things flow, and Zion contains the foundation and "cornerstone" of the real temple or house of our God which inhabits eternity.

Furthermore, in Isaiah 60:7, Isaiah speaks of God’s alter in a general way, not as a specific alter, but as all alters in all houses of worship. And God's house, temple and alter are where you find it -- because it is within us, around us, and above us, all the time. After all, how can all the people of the world worship in one building and go to one alter?

Isaiah 65:25 says they shall not hurt nor destroy in all God’s holy mountain because, again, it is not a material place but a spiritual state of mind and being, realized from within. No one or nothing can destroy it. It exists forever.

But then there’s another matter of Ezekiel 40-44, which some Zionist Jews say describes what the third temple will look like. It goes into lengthy detail, but, considering that Ezekiel was born in 622 BCE, it is probable that he was referring to the second temple which was completed about a hundred years later in 515 BCE, thanks to the kind generosity and tolerance of Cyrus the Great of Persia, who freed the Jews from Babylonian captivity and let them return to Jerusalem and build the second temple.

(And by the way, the second temple stood for about 586 years until it was destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE due to the foolish antagonism and bad leadership of Shammai, who ignored the wisdom of the late great Jewish sage, Hillel the Elder, a man of peace who had preceded Shammai as the most influential Jewish leader.)

Another thing to consider is Malachi 3:1 — “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, he shall come, says the Lord of hosts.”

Since that mentions “the messenger of the covenant,” it should be understood that he is God’s messenger who establishes the new covenant described in Jeremiah 33:31-33, which states:

"The day will come, the Lord said, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah – not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more." -- Jeremiah 31:31-33

The “temple” of the messenger of the covenant is within. It is the temple of the body, a temple built “without hands.” And it is appropriate to say it is like the temple mentioned in the Christian Revelation 21:22, in which John wrote: “And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.” So God and the principal servant of God are the temple.

Now of course, Israeli Jews may build a third temple if they like, on land that they own. They have that right. But they should not build it anywhere that is not legally theirs, or that would call for more fighting and war to conquer the land in order to build upon it. They must instead make amends, reconcile their differences with Palestinians, make peace, and act in ways that would be socially acceptable anywhere in the world.

Prophecies That Jews Will Have a Change of Heart and Mind and Make Peace

Ezekiel 11:19-20 – “And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh; that they may walk in My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances, and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.”

Ezekiel 36:26-27 – “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep Mine ordinances, and do them.”

(Note: They will also understand that God is the Universal God of all nations, the Holy One, and not to be mistaken as the exclusive God of one race, one religion, or one nation.)

Hoseah 2:20 – “And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground; and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the land, and will make them to lie down safely.”

Jeremiah 31:31-33 – "The day will come, the Lord said, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah – not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."

However, as is explained in the article on The New Covenant, it has yet to be fulfilled, because obviously peace and justice is not written on their hearts, and they still think they know the Lord and claim everyone should believe as they do.

Jesus of Nazareth did not fulfill The New Covenant (even though Paul claimed he did), and it will not be fulfilled until God “writes it in the hearts” of the people to forsake the ways of arrogance, conflict and war, and instead honor the ways of love, empathy, compassion, peace, freedom, justice, and harmony.

God Will Be Acknowledged As The God of All Nations

Zechariah 14:9 – “And the Lord shall be King over all the earth; in that day shall the Lord be One, and His name one.”

Isaiah 49:6  – “God said: 'It is not enough that you should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the offspring of Israel. I will also give you for a light of all the nations, that My salvation may be unto the ends of the earth.'”

Isaiah 66:23 – “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh worship Me, says the Lord.”

Ezekiel 38:23 – “Thus will I magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself, and I will make Myself known in the eyes of many nations; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Psalm 86:9 – “All nations whom you have made shall come and prostrate themselves before you, O Lord; and they shall glorify your name.”

Christian prophecies about this are different in many instances. However, there are some that say essentially the same thing. For instance: Revelation 11:15 – “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord God, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

All nations and kingdoms will be embraced by the new "kingdom" of God. But notice that in that instance, as in many others in the book of Revelation, John makes a distinction between the servant anointed as Christ, and the Lord God who anointed and sent him. That is a distinction Christians miss.

Another example of distinguishing between God and God’s servant Jesus is in Revelation 15:3, which says: “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are your ways, you King of saints.”

In that instance it is clear that both Moses and “the Lamb” Jesus sing songs praising God (which is one of countless indicators in the Bible that Jesus of Nazareth was not “God Himself” but a servant of God).

God is the Holy One, which by any other name is the Great Spirit-Parent, also known by other names, such as the Hindu Brahman, The Tao, The Supreme Consciousness, The Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, and many other names for the eternal, infinite, omnipresent Holy One.

The Modern Mashiach or Messiah

As is explained in the article titled A Messiah Is Not The Savior, the word Messiah is the English translation of the Hebrew Mashiach, which means an “anointed one.” The English word Christ, which came from the Greek Christos and the Latin Christus, mean the same thing. It’s a title meaning “anointed one,” and in the case of the modern Messiah it also means “The Elect” and “chosen one.”

As he said in his video Address To The World, "the title of Messiah is but one of many titles for the expected one who brings peace to the world. There are many titles and many names that refer to him, depending on the religion or religious tradition, and where the tradition originated in the world."

However, in the traditions of Judaism, many prophets, kings, priests were anointed Mashiachs. For example, Exodus 30:26-30 and 1 Samuel 10:1 and 16:13 speak of the anointing of certain important Jewish figures who were regarded as Mashiachs. And the tradition was rather rigid, because the anointing was performed by a chief priest who used a certain oil formula for the physical anointing.

Ironically, a main ingredient of the anointing oil was the oil from “The Plant of Renown,” called "kaneh bosm" in Hebrew ("calamus" in Greek), and as the Hebrew University has confirmed, that plant was what we now call Marijuana. (The other ingredients of the anointing oil were cassia, cinnamon, myrrh, and olive oil.)

Of course the son of Man and Mashiach known as Jesus of Nazareth broke that tradition, knowing that only God calls and chooses a Mashiach and anoints him with the “fire” or Light of God’s Great Spirit. (And yet, being a good Jew, Jesus allowed Mary Magdalene to anoint him with the anointing oil – probably as a compromise.)

The modern son of Man follows the precedent set by Jesus, not by deliberate choice but because he was fortuitously blessed with the gift of opening the “seven seals of revelation” (also called the seven chakras). He was thus carried away in spirit to the high and holy place where God inhabits eternity, and thus spiritually anointed by the Divine Light and Spirit of God.

He is referred to as being from the “root of Jesse” and a “branch of David,” but he understands that whether he has a genealogical link to King David or not, he serves in the spirit of such figures. He does not, as the followers of Jesus of Nazareth did, try to trace his bloodlines back to David. After all, in that regard, the genealogy of Jesus according to Matthew and Luke are different and neither take into account that they trace the genealogy to Joseph, who according to the “virgin birth” myth was supposedly not the father of Jesus anyway. And modern understanding of religion should not be based on myths, but on universal truths that are at the core of all religions.

The main thing, however, is that the modern Messiah fulfills and will fulfill the prophecies that Jesus of Nazareth did not, including the following:

Isaiah 11:9-10 – “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the root of Jesse, that stands for an ensign of the peoples, unto him shall the nations seek; and his resting-place shall be glorious.”

Isaiah 49:1-7 – "Listen to me, all peoples, from far: the Lord has called me, and from the womb of my mother has God made mention of my name. And the Lord God has made my mouth and pen like a sharp sword, in the shadow of God’s hand have I been hidden; and the Lord has made me as a polished arrow, in God’’s quiver I have been concealed. And God said to me: 'You are My servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.' But I said: 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for naught and vanity; yet surely my righteousness is with the Lord, and my satisfaction with my God.' And now says my God that formed me from the womb to be a loyal servant, to bring Jacob again to God, and that Israel be gathered unto God — for I am honorable in the sight of the Lord, and my God is become my strength. Indeed, God said: 'It is not enough that you should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the offspring of Israel. I will also give you for a light of all the nations, that My salvation may be unto the ends of the earth.' Thus said the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One, to him who is despised of men, to him who is abhorred of nations, to a servant of rulers: 'They shall see, and they shall lower themselves and acknowledge God; because of the Lord that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.'"

((Notice that God’s servant is called “Israel” but God made him a loyal servant “to bring Jacob again.” That’s because the original Jacob’s name was changed to Israel because he “struggled with God” (which is what the name Israel means in Hebrew), and the modern Messiah is like Jacob in that respect.)

Behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.” —  Isaiah 40:10 and Isaiah 62:11

He was despised, and forsaken of men, a man of pains, and acquainted with disease, and as one from whom men hide their face: he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely our diseases he did bear, and our pains he carried; whereas we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” – Isaiah 53:3-4, translation from the Hebrew Masoretic Text and other translations more true to the original Hebrew.

For thus said the High and Lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. ... For the iniquity of his covetousness was I angry and afflicted him, I hid Me and was angry; and he went on willfully in the way of his heart. [But] I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will lead him also, and compensate with comforts to him and his mourners.” – Isaiah 57:15-18

As his life story reveals, the modern son of man was first stricken and afflicted with a disabling disease that left him a paraplegic in July 1977. But he has been healed of many afflictions, and his life has been prolonged many times per Isaiah 53:10. He has been temporarily saved from several severe afflictions that were and still are life-threatening, and he is plagued with other afflictions that leave him totally disabled at times. The most life threatening afflictions are congestive heart failure, other heart disease, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). But so far he keeps being revived enough to do what he needs to do, even though still wheelchair bound with paraplegia, still limited by the condition of his broken heart and impaired lungs, and by the arthritic pain in his joints.

As Isaiah 53:12 says, he is "numbered with the transgressors." But, thankfully, Jeremiah 30:17 says God will "restore" his  health and "heal his wounds," which coincides with Isaiah 57:13-19 which says God will "heal him and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners." That's true. Many of his wounds have been healed, and many of his afflictions are at least being treated with modern medical devices, treatments and medicines, so far. He hopes he may keep going and be able to do whatever else he may need to do in the way of providing counsel or edification, and perhaps even sing his songs live.

Isaiah 42:1-10 -- “Behold God’s servant, whom God upholds; God’s elect, in whom God’s soul delights. God’s spirit is upon him, he shall make the right to go forth to the nations. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. ... he shall make the right to go forth according to the truth ... he shall set the right in the earth; and the isles shall wait for his teaching. The Lord God has called him in righteousness, and has taken hold of his hand, and kept him, and set him for a covenant of the people, for a light of the nations; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison-house. The Lord God will not give glory to another, neither praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things shall spring forth. Son of man, sing unto the Lord a new song, and God’s praise from the end of the earth.”

Jeremiah 23:5-6 – “Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous shoot, and he shall reign as king and prosper, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord is our righteousness.”

Note: He will not actually be a “king.” As  Jeremiah 33:17 states: “For thus says the Lord: David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel." That is one of the reasons why Jesus did not. And the modern son of man does not and will not even speak as an orator as Jesus did, but instead has told you in writing, song and speech that we shall all share the "thrones" of our nations as equal joint heirs to the new "kingdom" of God.

Jeremiah 30:10 – “ Therefore fear not, O Jacob My servant, said the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel; for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall again be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.”

Ezekiel 34:23-30 – “And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even My servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. And I the Lord will be their God, and My servant David prince among them; I the Lord have spoken. And I will make with them a covenant of peace ... and they shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of those that made bondmen of them. And I will raise up unto them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the nations any more. And they shall know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people, says the Lord God.”

Notice that the “shepherd” is a servant and a prince, and not literally David who was king. But Ezekiel then revised that.

Ezekiel 37:24-28 – “And My servant David shall be king over them, and they all shall have one shepherd; they shall also walk in Mine ordinances, and observe My statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob My servant, wherein your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children's children, for ever; and David My servant shall be their prince for ever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them--it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will establish them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them for ever. My dwelling-place also shall be over them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And the nations shall know that I am the Lord that sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for ever.

Even though Ezekiel mention a "king," notice that he also wrote “David My servant shall be their prince for ever,” and remember that Jeremiah wrote that "no man" shall sit on the throne of Israel. Also consider that all these prophecies can be seen as symbolic, that the "king" is not a mortal man but of the symbolic king epitomized by David and especially by Solomon.

Consider Revelation 11:15 which states: “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

He who reigns forever in God’s new kingdom on earth is not a person, but the Spirit of God, and the spirit of God’s greatest servants, prophets, and kings. And as Daniel wrote: “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” – Daniel 2:44

The “kingdom” will not be ruled by a mortal king or by “other people.” All the people shall be joint heirs to the throne of their nations, and the throne of the world, since God’s kingdom shall embrace all nations. Governments shall be of the people, by the people, and for the people, under God the Great Spirit only.

The Founders of America provided Americans with a way to begin that process by utilizing Article 5 of the U.S. Constitution to lead the way in establishing true Democracy. That is why The 21st Century Declaration of Independence was written.
